I have loved this app, but it used to offer the ability to select color. Can’t figure out how to do that now, and it seems only red is available. Not the most calming color; I used to select green. Can we get this option back? Otherwise would be five stars!

Walking through the Bible in this manner keeps my faith and my heart whole. The combination of stories and scripture bind the then and now in a way that not only makes sense, but deepens my relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I’ve read the whole Bible before, yet this is the easiest way to keep it in my life every day.

I have been wanting to read through the Bible - but usually get bogged down in Kings and Numbers… this helps me me keep a perspective of what God is saying and the insights have been eye and heart opening throughout!

This audio guide that allows me to read the Bible in the year, but in an organized, structured, and cohesive way. The commentary just adds to it and it has been an answer that to my prayers. I wake up in the mornings yearning to spend time with the God head and see what they have for me. So grateful for this app.

So I have ADHD and really struggle with this app even when set to the express version. The problem is the amount of content. Less scripture with commentary or the elimination of the prayers would be much preferred. Or an option to do that rather than multiple scriptures, multiple commentaries, multiple prayers and finally ending with 'Pippa Ads.' It's narrated beautifully but it's just too much. It's hard to remember throughout the day was well.

I absolutely love the Bible in a year app! So easy to use!

This app is beautifully done. Nicky’ s explanation of each reading is very clear and helps me to understand rather than me trying on my own. I’m an audible learner so this is perfect. Pippa’s end comments are answers always thought provoking and sweet.

Faith alone, Grace alone, Christ alone based Biblical App!

I made the decision to follow Christ as an 7 year the summer of 1994. The past 30 years have had its ups and downs, but I have always held tightly to the Lord and desired to know Him more. I have read the Bible before, the entire Bible, but in bits and pieces and could never keep up with Bible in a Year plans. I’ve always desired to read the Bible in a year AND read a devotional that would help me understand more but as a stay at home mom the last 15 years, getting 30 mins to myself to sit and read every day seemed quite impossible. So grateful for Nicky and Pippa and all the hard work they put into developing such a beautiful daily devotional while connecting the daily Bible Reading. The fact that I could LISTEN to the Bible and commentary/devotional was a game changer. I could listen while in the car running errands, folding laundry, while talking a walk, working out, etc. This past year, 2024, for the first time in 30 years of knowing Jesus, I read/listened to the Bible from cover to cover thanks to this app AND gained an incredible amount of understanding thanks to the way Nicky and Pippa explained the daily reading. I truly cannot say thanks enough for all who have a hand in this app and making it available and free. Everything about it is amazing and I am so grateful.

This app is a blessing. I’m glad I downloaded. It has Gods wisdom and anointing on it. It easy to follow. The Holy Spirit uses it to speak to me.

I’ve been reading through the Bible for many years now this is hands-down the best program I ever used. I will probably use this one for the rest of my life.

I started listening to this app yesterday and today and I really like it. It’s like listening to the Bible with a personal commentary. I chose the classic version which is 25 minutes a day and it follows the Bible in a year reading plan. I was just listening to the Bible, but I like this because the pastor explains the scripture and provides engaging and thought provoking questions. His wife adds her thoughts at the end and I appreciate that also!

Thanks so much for making this app. I find it so helpful to not only have the Bible passages read, but to have it unpacked bit by bit with examples of how it was lived out in people’s lives, explanations of what hard-to-understand parts mean when taken in light of the rest of the Bible, and a kind, hopeful perspective through it all from your personal experience that Jesus has truly loved you.

Nicky writes the best devotionals. It’s a great way to start the day.

This is my all time favorite narrated Bible app. I’m really grateful to those who made this available for listeners and people like me who need more of God’s support, reminders to continue building faith, and a trusted resource to listen to the Bible at any time. It’s really nice to be able to choose any day of readings and all of the readings are really well interpreted. This is motivating, loving, supportive and fun to listen to too.

I never write reviews for apps, but I had to for this one. The way the daily readings have a bit of wisdom + new + old testaments with commentary in between is so great. I feel like I absorb so much better playing the audio as I read along. Recommend. I see myself using this app for the rest of my life honestly.

The Bible in One Year with Nikki and Pippa has changed my Bible reading life! Thank you for the time and dedication you have put into making the Bible In One Year so enjoyable and easy to understand. The commentaries and prayers in-between each section is very helpful.

I like to listen, but impossible to use hands free. I want the option to play continuously in order to catch up or to listen to more, but the reading for the day ends and assumes I don’t want more. It requires too much hands on attention, so I often have to use another app. Please have an auto play option to reduce frustration. Sometimes we want to hear more!

I have tried numerous times to download and use app. The app informs me that I do not have a connection to the internet.

I rarely leave app reviews but this one deserves every star and then some. For years I’ve tried various apps to make it through the Bible in one year but this is the only one I’ve ever been able to stay consistent with. The simplicity and user interface is truly unmatched and the way this study is laid out is so intuitive and helpful. I have been using the express version for over 100 days now and I have never been more excited to jump into a devotional every morning. This has helped me develop a morning routine and spend time drawing nearer to God. I am so grateful for Nicky and Pippa and what they have created with this study!

Time for an update. Won’t download and says I have no internet. But I do have internet

I love this app for so many reasons. First because it’s a no frills easy yet deeply insightful way to go through the Bible. It’s like I’m doing it with friends. In fact I am! Met these two back in around’86 in Newport Beach. They were visiting from Holy Trinity Brompton and we spent some fun time together with the family. I’ve loved to see all they have accomplished since those days. Great job!! My favorite time of the day!

I’m 52 days in and enjoying every day. I read each day in the morning with my coffee and I am learning so much.

I start my day by listening to The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel. This helps me to reflect on the teachings of the Lord, and to deepen and strengthen my relationship with Jesus. Highly recommended!

Occasionally, like all apps, there will be an update with problems. However, it does get fixed. The content is fantastic and I enjoy Pippa’s, sometimes cheeky, insights.

Keep crashing and freezing with the last update

The audio is great, the commentary is great and the application keeps me connected with the Bible everyday. Added to other readings and study/commentary of the Bible. Love the Bible In One Year application! Thank you!

I’ve been loving it until this week, when there has been no sound. I can read it, but it’s not the same 😢

I really love this app. Unfortunately it has stopped working. It won’t play anymore. I’ve tried deleting the app and downloaded it again and still it won’t play. So disappointed!

I never have problems with this app, but now I can’t play it on anything and it is making my phone hot! I can’t even access it on the website! Maybe it’s the Leadership Conference registration, messing it up! Please Please fix!

I have been using the Bible in a year app for a few years now. It helped me tremendously going deeper with the Word. I also love Nicky’s commentaries, they make the Bible so much easier to understand. The best part other than the Bible of course, is that I look forward to reading each day’s title and how Pipa ends the day with her precious thoughts.

I have done everything I can, and nobody is speaking when I play this. I have deleted the app and reinstalled the app. I have checked my volume. I have to turn my phone off and on three times. I am so frustrated. I am never going to listen to this app again.

Every few weeks, I get stuck starting the app, i have to delete it and redownload it or restart my phone

I’m so thankful for this app, which I’ve listened to for nearly three years. I love the NIV version of the Bible they use because of its clarity and ease of access while remaining true to the scriptures. I especially love Nicky’s reflections and the depth of his insight. And the Bible narrator has a wonderful delivery and a great voice. The only suggestion I would make regards “Pippa Adds.” One a number of occasions she has shared some profound and deeply appreciated devotional reflections on one of the passages that was read. On others, she offers something that perhaps is intended to be humorous or wistful, but it falls flat and sometimes even seems flippant. I’ve been so grateful for this app and for this ministry, but my encouragement is to perhaps change that part of it.

I so appreciate this app as it helps me to remain focused on God’s way, my relationship with him and growing in knowledge and wisdom of our loving Father. These are the habits that lead to true life now and into eternity in Christ. I need the help (!) and value this work of Nicky and Pippa in their obedience to God’s call on their lives.

This book is a wonderful aid to reading the entire Bible. Each day has a reading from either Psalms or Proverbs, one from New Testament, and one from Old Testament. Each is followed by commentary and prayer by Nicky. The Bible is read by David Suchet (known for portraying Inspector Poirot on BBC ), who does an excellent job of bringing the Bible readings to life. This book will certainly deepen your faith journey whether you have experience in reading the Bible or are new to it.

I have done The Bible in One Year for many years. Last year and this year, I started the Express version. It is a wonderful way to be reminded of how we should begin each and every day! And, the express version is 15 minutes. We can all allow 15 minutes at the beginning of the day to talk and listen to God for our mission for the day! I got to meet them a few years ago in their church and they are such sweet spirits. Friend from Texas

This Bible in one year app is fantastic. It is thought-provoking and encouraging. It definitely convicts, and it’s enjoyable to listen to the audio version.
